Cigar chomping Col. John Smith is the Patton-esque,
soldier-for-life mastermind behind the A-Team. His nick name
is Hannibal, after the great Carthaginian general, who in
218 BC defeated the Romans after launching a surprise attack
by traveling to Italy over the Alps.
If I was thrown into the middle of the Vietnam War then this
would be the guy I'd follow. No matter what situation the
a-team got in, Hannibal could pull them out. The colonel is
probably the only person in the world who can wear black leather
gloves and look tough.
