The A-Team was an action-adventure-comedy series which ran on the NBC network in the U.S.A from 1983 to 1987. In total there were 90 one-hour episodes and 4 two-hour episodes produced. As the story goes, The A-Team was a crack commando unit in Vietnam before they were jailed for crimes they didn't commit.

When they escaped from a maximum security military prison in 1972, they became soldiers of fortune, operating out of the Los Angeles underground and driving around in a whoop @$$ custom made van.

Let me tell you something, if I needed some ass kicking to be done, I'd call these guys. The A-Team are a bunch of soldiers for hire (even though I only saw them get paid once), week in & week out they would be either saving someone or evading the evil clutches of Colonel Lynch. They were taking names and kicking @$$!

The A-Team television show provided pure escapism and during it's time made huge stars of it's actors (mainly Mr.T). It combined great doses of comedy with huge amounts of action, this in turn equaled great ratings for it's network by appealing to a large male audience of all ages. To this day, reruns of the A-Team are still being shown all around the world.
